Nicholas Roske, who now identifies as “Sophie,” targeted Kavanaugh after the Supreme Court’s draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked in 2022. Armed with a Glock 17 pistol, ammunition, zip ties, and other disturbing tools, Roske was arrested outside the justice’s Maryland residence. His chilling plan was to execute Kavanaugh, reflecting a stark and violent reaction to the Court’s pivotal decisions.
Despite the grave nature of his actions, a Biden-appointed federal judge, Deborah Boardman, delivered a sentence far less than the 30 years to life that prosecutors sought.
