Tlaib Appears to Chant “KKK” During Patriotic USA Chant at State of the Union
Video footage has captured Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib apparently shouting “KKK” while fellow members of Congress chanted “USA” during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night. The shocking moment, preserved on camera, has ignited a firestorm of criticism against the radical congresswoman.
The incident represents yet another disturbing chapter in the far-left’s contemptuous relationship with American patriotism.
Republicans immediately condemned Tlaib’s behavior. The National Republican Congressional Committee delivered a scathing response: “Everything you need to know about today’s Democrats. They cannot stand this country, they cannot stand its comeback, & they cannot hide their contempt anymore.”
They’re absolutely right. The mask has slipped completely off.
A Pattern of Disrespect
Tlaib’s apparent anti-American outburst wasn’t her only display of contempt during the President’s address. The Michigan Democrat showed up wearing a pin reading “F*CK ICE,” watermelon earrings supposedly signaling solidarity with the “Palestinian cause,” and another pin demanding “Stand with survivors, release the Epstein Files.”
This wasn’t political expression. This was a calculated insult to the American people and their democratic institutions.
The congresswoman, whose district includes the heavily Muslim city of Dearborn, repeatedly disrupted the proceedings alongside Minnesota radical Rep. Ilhan Omar. The pair stood and shouted at the President multiple times, waving fingers and creating scenes that would embarrass any serious legislator.
Refusing to Stand for America
The most revealing moments came not from what Tlaib did, but what she refused to do.
When Trump asked members of Congress to stand if they supported prioritizing Americans over illegal immigrants, both Tlaib and Omar remained seated. When the President highlighted the rescue of dozens of Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity, they stayed glued to their chairs.
These weren’t accidents. These were deliberate political statements that speak volumes about where these representatives’ loyalties truly lie.
Tlaib completely ignored instructions from Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who had urged Democrats to either attend with “silent defiance” or skip the event entirely in favor of “alternate programming” around the Capitol complex. Jeffries understood optics matter. Tlaib clearly didn’t care.
Democrats’ Coordinated Tantrum
Dozens of Democrats did boycott the State of the Union, attending alternate events that resembled anti-Trump political rallies focused on attacking the President’s immigration policies and tariffs. But Tlaib and Omar chose a different path—they decided to attend and create maximum disruption.
Texas Democrat Al Green took a similarly juvenile approach. He was physically escorted from the chamber after holding up a large sign reading “Black people aren’t apes,” referencing a video briefly shared on Truth Social. This marked the second consecutive year Green has been removed from a Trump address to Congress.
The pattern is unmistakable: today’s Democratic Party has devolved into a collection of performance artists more interested in viral moments than governing.
Trump Calls Out the Madness
During his address, President Trump didn’t mince words about Democratic extremism, particularly on the issue of child gender transitions.
“Who can believe that we’re even speaking about things like this?” Trump asked the chamber. “But surely we can all agree no state can be allowed to rip children from their parents’ arms and transition them to a new gender against the parents’ will. Who would believe that we’re even talking about this? We must ban it, and we must ban it immediately.”
Democrats refused to stand. Many sat stone-faced. Some, like Tlaib, actively worked to undermine the proceedings.
The Real Story Here
This incident perfectly encapsulates the Democratic Party’s fundamental problem: they have allowed their most radical members to define them. While Republicans unified behind an agenda of American renewal and common-sense policies, Democrats sat on their hands, staged walkouts, and in Tlaib’s case, apparently chanted hate while others expressed love of country.
The contrast couldn’t be starker or more damning.
When given the choice between supporting American citizens over illegal immigrants, they chose illegal immigrants. When given the opportunity to celebrate rescued hostages, they remained seated. When their fellow members chanted “USA,” at least one appeared to respond with “KKK.”
This is the modern Democratic Party in full view. No spin can change what America witnessed Tuesday night. The question now is whether voters will remember in 2026 and beyond.
They should. And they will.
