Democratic lawmakers are blatantly endangering our law enforcement by launching a so-called “master ICE tracker.” This reckless initiative comes at a time when assaults on federal immigration agents have skyrocketed by an astounding 1,000%. The audacity of this plan not only reveals the Democrats’ disregard for public safety but also demonstrates their desire to undermine the very agents tasked with enforcing our laws.
On Tuesday, California Rep. Robert Garcia announced this misguided effort, intended to track ICE operations across the nation. This is nothing short of a tactic to expose our law enforcement officers to further danger. Garcia claimed, “the oversight committee will be launching on their website a master ICE tracker… verifying reports from the community.” This is a blatant attempt to turn law enforcement efforts into a spectacle.
Attorney General Pam Bondi rightfully condemned the actions of these so-called leaders. She emphasized, “The Justice Department has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents.” It’s time to put a stop to these dangerous games being played by the Democrats.
It’s vital to understand the real-world consequences of this tracking initiative. Garcia’s response to Bondi reflects the contempt with which he views our law enforcement. He recently lashed out, stating, “ICE detaining over 170 U.S. citizens is not them ‘just doing their jobs.’” This is a gross distortion of reality, showcasing an alarming level of defiance against important law enforcement operations.
Just hours after the announcement, a violent incident in Los Angeles highlighted the stakes. Federal agents had to open fire on Carlitos Ricardo Parías, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant who has made a mockery of ICE operations by documenting their actions for his 132,000 TikTok followers. He rammed a federal vehicle and was subsequently charged with assaulting an officer—a crime carrying a potential prison sentence of up to eight years.
Moreover, the recent history of violence against ICE agents is chilling. A shooter in Dallas, motivated by anti-ICE rhetoric, used an app to track agents before his attack. This shooter, intent on killing, tragically ended up taking the lives of two detainees instead. The app has since been removed from the Apple Store, but the damage has already been done.
The time for Democrats to stop playing political games with our safety is long overdue. Enough is enough. We must protect our law enforcement and uphold the rule of law, or risk descending into chaos.
