President Trump just delivered the biggest trade triumph in U.S. history: China has agreed to choke off the fentanyl pipeline, reopen its agricultural markets, and roll back its most punishing economic weapons—all in one sweeping deal.

This isn’t empty talk. In Busan, President Trump forced Beijing to suspend its new export controls on critical minerals, lift retaliatory tariffs on soybeans, pork, corn and dairy, and pledge tough action against the deadly fentanyl flood. China will buy at least 12 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans by year’s end—and 25 million tons every year through 2028. That’s a lifeline for American farmers.

Beijing also committed to issuing broad licenses for rare earths, gallium, germanium, antimony and graphite. These materials power our defense systems, fuel our tech giants and keep our economy humming. No more punishing export bans designed to strangle U.S. manufacturing.

On the security front, China agreed to take “significant measures” to choke off precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production. This single concession will save thousands of American lives and protect families from cartel-driven drug violence.

In return, the United States will cut tariffs on Chinese imports by ten percentage points starting November 10, while keeping key reciprocal tariffs suspended through November 2026. We’ll also extend exclusions on certain Section 301 duties and delay enforcement of a new export rule targeting blacklisted Chinese firms.

This agreement isn’t a handout to Beijing—it’s a finely calibrated strike that preserves America’s leverage. We maintain the right to resume tariffs if China fails to honor its promises. We also continue coordinating with our allies in South Korea and Japan to strengthen U.S. shipbuilding and safeguard our supply chains.

Beyond China, this Asia trip produced new trade deals with Malaysia and Cambodia, and launched talks with Thailand and Vietnam. It secured fresh investment commitments from Japan and South Korea. President Trump has once again proven that America leads when it negotiates from strength.

This deal safeguards national security, turbocharges our economy and puts American workers, farmers and families first. There is no greater proof that strong leadership and clear demands deliver results. America wins.
