An incoming Russian ICBM can strike Washington in as little as 40 minutes. Greenland gives America extra minutes—and that margin is the difference between devastation and survival.

President Trump’s Golden Dome missile shield will be America’s ultimate safeguard. Placing interceptors and radars on Greenland is non-negotiable. It’s the absolute best first line of defense against any nuclear strike.

Geography makes Greenland critical. Any missile launched from Moscow or Beijing arcs directly over the Arctic. Greenland sits squarely on that flight path. Missing this opportunity would be a strategic dereliction of duty.

Today, the United States lacks an Iron Dome for intercontinental threats. Our homeland is exposed. Golden Dome changes that in a heartbeat—tracking hypersonics, ballistic missiles and advanced cruise missiles from launch to interception.

Congress has already green-lit $25 billion for Golden Dome’s initial phases. Building the full layered system will cost about $175 billion. That price pales next to the cost of allowing a nuclear warhead to reach U.S. soil.

Critics point at Fort Drum, New York, as an alternative. They’re wrong. Fort Drum sits inside American airspace—too late in the game. Greenland interceptors create a buffer zone hundreds of miles north, giving us multiple engagement opportunities.

“Deploying in Greenland expands our kill chain and buys us precious seconds,” says Peter Doran, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. “That margin of error could save millions of lives.”

Golden Dome’s space-based sensors and ground-based launchers in Greenland will detect a launch within seconds and fire interceptors before the missile clears the Arctic horizon. No other site offers that capability.

Russia’s new “Satan II” ICBM carries up to 15 warheads and can reach any U.S. city. China’s DF-41 rivals it. Only a forward-deployed missile shield can blunt this threat. Greenland is America’s shield wall.

Planting our flag on Greenland isn’t an act of conquest—it’s a statement of deterrence. Every potential adversary will think twice when they know their missiles face the Golden Dome over Greenland.

This administration will not cower behind outdated defenses. We will secure Greenland, complete Golden Dome on schedule, and guarantee that no enemy missile ever threatens American freedom again.
