Among the detainees, there were 17 homicide suspects and 95 known gang members. These arrests are just the tip of the iceberg—collectively, the suspects boasted an astounding 2,625 prior arrests, averaging nearly ten each. This staggering statistic highlights a blatant failure of the justice system, allowing repeat offenders to roam free and put innocent lives at risk.
Noteworthy among the captured criminals were two illegal immigrants: Lorenzo Benitez, a 54-year-old Guatemalan, faced multiple sexual assault charges, while Darlin Franco-Guzman, a 25-year-old Honduran, was wanted for burglary and attempted assault on a minor.
