A 39-time arrestee with eight felony convictions was finally hauled off American streets this week—an illegal alien from the Ivory Coast who spent years trafficking drugs and terrorizing communities from Florida to Virginia.

Marcelin Charles Gbey Gouley’s rap sheet reads like a cartel playbook: cocaine trafficking, manufacturing and distribution of controlled substances, repeated narcotics possession. Each conviction piled one more threat onto our neighborhoods.

Yet as Democrats in the Senate staged their 14th filibuster to block the government’s reopening, this career criminal walked free—until U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents moved in.

On Tuesday, ICE agents arrested Gouley under the Department of Homeland Security’s “Worst of the Worst” initiative. His removal marks another step in fulfilling President Trump’s vow to end sanctuary city impunity and make America safe again.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin put it bluntly: “We’re not stopping for political grandstanding or death threats. We’re arresting the worst criminals who slipped past our border.”

Gouley’s record isn’t an anomaly. In the same sweep, ICE agents detained:
• Juan Pablo Martinez-Herrera, a Salvadoran in Los Angeles convicted of lewd acts with a child under 14.
• Jose Luis Tomalo-Viracucha, an Ecuadorian in New York charged with aggravated sexual abuse.
• Adrian Perez-Vallejo, a Mexican in Texas guilty of kidnapping.
• Javier Sanchez, another L.A. resident convicted of carjacking.

These arrests demolish the Democratic talking point that illegal immigration somehow means “hardworking families.” These are convicted felons—rapists, kidnappers, pedophiles—endangering every community they enter.

Since Day One, President Trump has pushed ICE to accelerate deportations. By year’s end, the administration will have removed roughly 600,000 criminal illegal aliens. Another 1.6 million opted to self-deport under pressure from stepped-up enforcement.

Democrats respond with hollow objections and courtroom handouts, empowering leftist judges to stall removals. “They’ve held us back,” Trump said Sunday. “Liberal judges put in by Biden and Obama let killers and criminals stay here.”

Republicans refuse to watch America turn into a lawless zone. We demand full funding for ICE, immediate authorization for border wall construction, and an end to judicial activism that shields dangerous aliens.

No more excuses. No more delays. Secure our borders. Deport the worst offenders. Restore the rule of law.

The safety of every American family depends on it.
