Trump didn’t stop there. On Truth Social, he confirmed that the Department of Justice and House Republicans are investigating Omar’s finances. “She left Somalia with nothing,” he wrote. “Now she’s worth tens of millions. Time will tell all.”
Republicans on Capitol Hill have already opened a formal inquiry into Omar’s dramatic wealth surge. Even the Justice Department reportedly probed her campaign spending and foreign-citizen engagements in 2024.
House disclosures show her husband’s firm, Rose Lake Capital, leapt from near zero to as much as $25 million in valuation within a year. His winery business jumped to between $1 million and $5 million.
On Tuesday, there’s no hiding behind political theater. Constituents deserve straight answers: How did Rep. Omar oversee a welfare-fraud epidemic in her district while her own bank account exploded? And why is Minneapolis on the brink of anarchy?
