For over 100 days, Portland has been under siege by violent Antifa extremists, and this chaos must end! Night after night, these anarchists transform the neighborhood into a horror show, blasting music and shouting anti-government slogans through megaphones, while assaults against law enforcement echo in the surrounding streets.
Residents are suffering. Nearby neighbor Cloud Elvengrail, a disabled African-American woman in a low-income apartment, describes her community as a “war zone.” Instead of support, she is threatened and bullied by this mob that claims to advocate for the vulnerable.
Elvengrail embodies the very group the protesters claim to defend, yet instead of helping her, they have made her life a nightmare. “If you’re wealthy and connected, the city is safe for you. If you’re poor, Black, and disabled, the city’s message is clear: ‘You’re on your own,’” Elvengrail stated, expressing her desperation.
In decisive action, President Trump has intervened, designating Antifa supporters as domestic terrorists and dispatching National Guard troops to restore order to this war-ravaged city. Elvengrail and her neighbors welcome this relief. “The President has heard our cry for help … I, and many of my neighbors, appreciate it,” she said.
As federal forces move in, Antifa members are frantically deleting social media posts to cover their tracks. Activist Alissa Azar is reportedly urging her cohorts to “lawyer up” and prepare for impending legal consequences—a clear admission of wrongdoing.
Defining Antifa is challenging due to their intentionally decentralized structure, but the chaos they create is undeniable. They occupy a city block and have even set up a so-called “safe house” nearby. Those familiar with the scene have described an alarming level of violence that escalates at night. “Most of them are on a lot of medication. They get very violent,” one observer noted. This is not the progressive utopia they claim to champion; it’s a descent into lawlessness.
Shockingly, local politicians, like Portland Mayor Keith Wilson, oppose the National Guard’s deployment, saying, “The number of troops we want is zero.” However, these leaders are failing to protect the very citizens they are supposed to serve. Since local law enforcement ceased arrests back in June, only a handful of actions were taken against the hundreds of protesters creating havoc.
In response to the rampant violence, Elvengrail has taken legal action, but her requests for a court order to compel police action have been denied. “Neighbors have begged for police to stop the violence committed by supposedly peaceful protesters,” she fumed. Only after the National Guard’s arrival did police begin making arrests again.
Just last week, a man was charged with felony assault against a federal officer, while multiple illegal immigrants were detained for targeting a helicopter with laser pointers. Law enforcement is re-establishing order, but it’s essential for local leaders to step up and fully support these efforts instead of undermining them.
Portland’s descent into chaos has caught the attention of many, including Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who states that the siege must end for families and businesses to thrive once more. “These criminals have been aided and abetted by anti-law enforcement liberals,” she asserts. “Antifa and anarchy will no longer be tolerated.”
In this fight for law and order, we must stand firm. The reign of terror instigated by Antifa ends now. The silent majority will no longer endure this chaos; it’s time to reclaim our streets and restore peace.
