French MEP Marion Maréchal is boldly confronting a phenomenon she dubs “judicial jihad.” This fierce fight for free speech stems from a defamation lawsuit filed by an Islamic organization alleging ties to the radical Muslim Brotherhood. Maréchal’s claim? The ‘Values and Success’ association, which operates a private Muslim school in Valencia, is not just affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, but shares objectives aligned with terrorist groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS.
As a member of the European Parliament and daughter of the influential Le Pen political family, Maréchal stands firm against this attack on her verbal assault. Scheduled for trial in September, her allegations have triggered a significant legal battle that reflects not only personal conviction but a larger struggle against radicalism infiltrating Western societies.
This isn’t the first time the organization has resorted to litigation. They unsuccessfully sued the satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” for similar claims last year, which a court dismissed, ruling that discussions surrounding the Muslim Brotherhood qualify as valid discourse rather than defamatory attacks.
Maréchal’s determination is evident. “For 15 years, I have been denouncing and fighting the Muslim Brotherhood. Wherever they try to advance, they find me in their path,” she asserts. She views this lawsuit as an intimidation tactic designed to stifle her outspoken criticism. “I will face them, in turn, in court on September 2nd. I’m counting on your support!” she declared, rallying her base.
The stakes have escalated with a recent French government report highlighting a calculated effort by the Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate and undermine French and European institutions. This multi-generational strategy seeks to impose Sharia law in the West, targeting vulnerable migrant communities and embedding their ideology in key societal frameworks, including private schools and local organizations.
Currently, over 114 Qur’anic schools in France have direct connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, alongside hundreds of mosques and Islamic associations reinforcing their agenda. France cannot afford to overlook these threats. It’s time to stand resolutely against this onslaught and support leaders like Maréchal who dare to confront it.
