Michael Rapaport has undergone a remarkable transformation from his vociferous disdain for President Donald Trump to becoming an outspoken critic of the radical left. Once, he dismissed Trump as the “worst possible motherf**ker,” insulted Melania Trump, and even wished ill upon Barron Trump. Now, he is taking a stand for New Yorkers as they face a critical mayoral election.

Amidst the mass exodus of Jewish liberals from the Democratic Party—driven by its alarming surrender to anti-Semitic elements—Rapaport emerged as a Trump supporter during the last presidential election. He is now backing former Governor Andrew Cuomo in a bid to prevent the radical socialist, Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, from becoming New York City’s mayor.

“I’m a lifelong New Yorker born and raised in Manhattan. This is the most important race for mayor in my lifetime,” Rapaport declared forcefully. He vehemently rejects Mamdani, stating, “He is not fit for office.”

Rapaport doesn’t hold back, calling Mamdani’s ideas “rotten to the core.” Policies like “freeze rent” would result in fewer buildings and higher rents. Defunding the police? That only leads to increased crime. And raising taxes? That weakens wallets across the city. Mamdani, in Rapaport’s mind, is simply a product of misguided ideology—a “moron.”

Mamdani has already pledged to freeze rents for stabilized tenants and significantly raise taxes on corporations and high earners, pushing New Yorkers closer to financial ruin. To top it off, he once labeled the NYPD as “racist” and advocated for defunding the police. Now, he unrealistically claims he doesn’t wish to do so anymore.

Rapaport has made waves, actively campaigning against Mamdani and urging New Yorkers to engage in early voting. “We’re going to send this dead-eye, fake-smiling, black-hearted 34-year-old back to the unemployment line,” he declared with conviction.

Recent polling has revealed that Mamdani is leading Cuomo, even as a staggering 26% of voters express a willingness to leave the city should Mamdani take office. Rapaport, reflecting on his former blind allegiance to the Democratic Party, lamented, “I do not recognize who they have become.” He chastised the Democrats, urging them to take a hard look in the mirror if they wish to reconsider their leadership choices.

In a pointed jab at prominent figures like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—who both endorsed Mamdani—Rapaport highlighted the candidate’s disturbing refusal to denounce extremist phrases like “globalize the intifada,” words that resonate alarmingly in light of 9/11.

“You’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” Rapaport warned, underscoring the importance of vigilance against ideological extremism.

As a part of his anti-Mamdani political action committee, Rapaport is offering supporters a chance to meet him in New York for a comedy show. Given the stakes, he is not just playing the role of a celebrity; he is calling on all New Yorkers to take a stand against the rampant radicalism threatening their city’s future.
