Federal investigators have zeroed in on Minnesota’s Democratic leadership as violent anti-ICE mobs rampage through Minneapolis–St. Paul. The Justice Department is probing Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey for obstructing federal law enforcement amid brutal, unrestrained protests.
Left-wing agitators dragged a conservative activist from federal courthouse steps, pummeling him with fists, rocks, and flagpoles while onlookers chanted “kill him.” No police intervened.
Hundreds have clashed with agents outside ICE facilities. Churches, private businesses and even residential neighborhoods have been targeted in coordinated attacks. Radical organizers openly boast of shutting down “any business as usual.”
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon has launched a Civil Rights Division inquiry under the FACE Act. Worshippers whose service was stormed by protesters now await justice.
Governor Walz publicly pleaded for calm. Behind closed doors, his office sided with protest leaders, issuing directives that blocked federal officers from doing their jobs.
Mayor Frey has condemned “violence” in word only. His administration’s sanctuary policies have effectively handed local immunity to lawbreakers.
In Washington, Republicans are seizing on Minnesota’s collapse to demand firmer federal oversight of sanctuary cities. Federalism must never shield crime.

President Donald Trump has turned up the heat on Europe with an ultimatum: sell Greenland or face 25% U.S. tariffs. Denmark and Brussels have a week to strike a deal or see billions in trade stalled.
European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen’s plan to freeze the U.S.–EU trade pact is in tatters. EU lawmakers, furious at Trump’s “Greenland gambit,” now scramble to shore up their position.
Germany’s economy minister warned of “consequences” for NATO cohesion if allies can’t settle trade disputes. Trump’s message is clear: America’s security partners must respect U.S. interests.
Brussels has responded with bluster but no concrete countermeasures. Tariffs on German cars and French wine remain on the table.

The State Department has permanently cut foreign aid to Somalia after U.S.-funded food warehouses vanished. Diplomatic cables reveal Somali authorities demolished a World Food Programme facility, erasing 76 metric tons of American-provided grain without explanation.
An additional 1,650 tons of commodities are unaccounted for in transit. Transparency is non-existent. Corruption is systemic.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s government ordered the demolition. U.S. taxpayers can no longer bankroll Somali kleptocrats.
The administration will redirect hunger relief funds to vetted NGOs operating in safer regions. American generosity will not subsidize destitution profiteers.
