Tennesseans Overwhelmingly Back Trump’s National Guard Deployment to Crime-Wracked Memphis

Sixty-three percent of Tennessee voters approve President Donald Trump’s bold decision to send the National Guard into Memphis, according to a new statewide poll. That landslide of support underscores the public’s demand for decisive action against lawlessness.

Memphis endures one of the highest murder rates in America. Year after year, neighborhoods crumble under gang violence, drug trafficking and unchecked homicides. Residents have watched in horror as soft-on-crime policies left their streets unsafe.

Mr. Trump cut through the red tape. He ordered National Guard troops onto Memphis sidewalks and federal law enforcement into back alleys. The result: over 1,700 arrests to date, including 126 identified gang members and scores of violent offenders wanted for murder, sex crimes, guns and narcotics.

Judicial critics rushed to challenge Governor Bill Lee’s authority to deploy the Guard, but those objections ring hollow against the clamoring voices of Tennesseans demanding law and order. The public has made its choice: security over indecision.

The poll shows Republicans unite behind the deployment, with an overwhelming majority in favor. Even a sizable bloc of independents back the move. Democrats, predictably, oppose—but their resistance flies in the face of clear public will.

Crime rates won’t drop themselves. Voters reject “soft” solutions that allow criminals to roam free. They want boots on the ground, tough enforcement and tangible results.

That same survey reveals Tennesseans’ instinctive aversion to socialism. Fifty-six percent view it negatively, while just 32 percent see it favorably. The data confirm what common sense tells us: socialism’s empty promises crumble under real-world tests.

Democratic candidates flirting with socialism are flirting with electoral disaster. The public won’t embrace policies that undermine individual liberty and economic growth.

On the political front, Senator Marsha Blackburn stands unchallenged in the Republican gubernatorial primary with 58 percent support. Congressman John Rose trails at 9 percent, and State Representative Monty Fritts lags at 5 percent. Blackburn’s dominance signals Tennessee conservatives are rallying around proven leadership.

Tennessee voters also back Governor Lee’s partnership with Elon Musk to build a direct tunnel from Nashville’s airport to downtown. That forward-looking infrastructure plan earned solid majority approval, illustrating the state’s appetite for innovation.

The poll, conducted October 26–29 among 1,200 registered Tennessee voters, delivers a clear verdict: Tennesseans demand toughness on crime, embrace free-market solutions and reject radical left-wing experiments. Their message to elected officials is unambiguous—govern boldly or step aside.
