Three Californians died on October 21 when an unlicensed, untrained driver from India—allowed behind the wheel by state edict—turned a 65-foot semi into a deadly weapon.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blasted California’s sanctuary policies as a direct threat to American lives. She exposed driver’s licenses stamped “no name given,” permits she says Gov. Gavin Newsom is handing out with zero verification.

“No paperwork. No background check. No clue who they are,” Noem declared. “We’re seeing 18-wheelers hijacked into instruments of terror by people who don’t speak English or know our laws.”

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy joined the attack, calling California’s compliance with federal standards a fig leaf for gross negligence. He accused Newsom of substituting border security for political theater.
