President Donald Trump proclaimed on Friday that his administration stands on the brink of achieving peace in the Middle East, following Hamas’s agreement to engage in peace talks.
In a powerful video message released on Truth Social, Trump expressed his gratitude to key Middle Eastern nations that played pivotal roles in facilitating this monumental opportunity for dialogue and reconciliation, while also highlighting Hamas’s commitment to releasing the remaining hostages.
“I want to thank countries like Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan for their immense support,” Trump stated. “This is a significant day, and we are ready to solidify these agreements. The final results will be crucial.”
His words were not mere rhetoric; they were a clear call for action. Trump emphasized the urgency of bringing hostages home to their families, underscoring the human cost of the conflict. “The condition of some hostages is dire, and their families deserve to have them back,” he declared.
Trump described the occasion as “historically special,” indicating that the potential for peace is unprecedented. “This day is remarkable—maybe even unparalleled. Our coalition is strong, and we are close to ending this conflict,” he affirmed.
