The Dystopian Novel They Don’t Want You to Read—And Why Saturday’s Terror Attack Proves It Was Prophetic

A Muslim terrorist just threw a bomb at a conservative activist while a white progressive literally stood between them, megaphone in hand, proclaiming that “New York welcomes everyone.” If you think that sounds like fiction, you’re right—it reads like a scene from the only dystopian novel America has systematically banned from classrooms.

We’ve all been force-fed the approved dystopian literature. Orwell’s “1984.” Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451.” “The Hunger Games” for the younger generation. Every American student encounters at least one of these works, and they all share an identical message: the threat comes from within.

Big Brother. The Party. The Capitol. Tyrannical pigs. Oppressive fire captains.

This is the “safe” dystopia—the one that trains students to fear their own government, their own neighbors, their own civilization. Then we act surprised when these same students emerge as adults primed to believe every hysterical claim about “rising fascism” in America.

But there’s one dystopian novel that dared to explore a different threat. An external one. A novel about what happens when a nation loses the will to defend its own borders, its own people, its own right to exist.

That book is “The Camp of the Saints” by French author Jean Raspail.

The Book They Buried

Published in the 1970s, “The Camp of the Saints” was quickly memory-holed by major publishers. Mention it today and you’ll be branded a white supremacist by The Atlantic and every other guardian of acceptable thought. It remains in print only through a small independent house called Vauban Books.

The novel isn’t about “Big Brother.” It’s about “Big Other.”

The plot is straightforward: a million impoverished foreigners from India board boats and sail toward southern France. As the armada approaches, a French hippie bursts into an old professor’s home, practically vibrating with excitement about the invasion of his own country.

“Tomorrow, we won’t recognize this country anymore,” the hippie gushes. “It’s going to be reborn. My real family is all the people coming off those boats. Now I have a million brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers.”

He fantasizes about marrying one of the foreigners. About all his friends doing the same. About the eventual elimination of white people from France.

When Fiction Becomes Documentary

In the 1970s, this dialogue probably seemed excessive. Unrealistic even. What person would welcome a hostile invasion of their homeland? Who could harbor such pathological hatred for their own people that they’d celebrate their nation’s destruction?

We now have the answer.

Saturday in New York City settled that question forever. If anything, Raspail dramatically undersold the suicidal pathology that would consume the Western left.

The Attack That Proves Everything

Walter Masterson stood outside the New York mayor’s residence with a megaphone, proclaiming “as a born and raised New Yorker, we welcome everyone into this city.” At that exact moment, a Muslim terrorist jumped up behind him, screamed “Allah Akbar,” and hurled an explosive device over his head at conservative activist Jake Lang.

The symbolism is almost too perfect. An emasculated white progressive, literally serving as a footstool for a Muslim bomb-thrower whose parents immigrated from Afghanistan. A living political cartoon.

You’d think nearly getting blown up might adjust Masterson’s worldview. You’d be wrong.

He immediately posted on social media: “I was in the middle of saying ‘as a born and raised New Yorker, we welcome everyone into this city’ when he threw that over my head. And I still stand by it.”

He then added: “As a born and raised New Yorker, everyone is welcome. Everyone except chief goatf—-er Jake Lang.”

The terrorist tried to murder Lang. But according to Masterson, Lang is the problem.

This isn’t satire. This is ideology in its purest, most concentrated form.

The Mob Wanted Blood

Masterson wasn’t alone. A crowd of white leftists had gathered outside the mayor’s residence before the attack. According to reporters on the scene from Turning Point USA, this mob openly chanted “Kill Jake Lang.”

Let that sink in. Lang was staging a protest calling for the removal of Muslims incompatible with American values. In response, white progressives formed a lynch mob calling for his death—then actual Muslim terrorists tried to grant their wish.

We’ve seen this pattern before. After the murders of Brian Thompson and Charlie Kirk. After multiple assassination attempts on Donald Trump. A majority of the left now openly desires the death of their political opponents.

They don’t just want to win arguments. They want you dead.

The Media Coverup

The corporate press response to Saturday’s attack reveals how deeply the rot extends.

NBC’s headline: “A device ignited outside Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral residence yesterday during an anti-Islam protest and counterprotest.”

The deliberate vagueness is designed to make readers believe anti-Islam protesters planted the bomb. Pure deception.

The Guardian plastered Jake Lang’s photo at the top of their article, implying he was responsible.

The AP buried the facts in incomprehensible word salad: “A device thrown by a counterprotester at an anti-Islam demonstration…” A counterprotester at an anti-Islam demonstration? Just say “Islamist terrorist.” But that would be too honest.

CBS Evening News reported the “ISIS-inspired terrorist attack” while displaying a photo of Trump supporters on screen. The message: conservatives are the real terrorists.

The New York Post called the bombers “ISIS-loving teens” whose parents “seized the American dream,” while describing their target—Jake Lang—as a “right wing nut.”

A man was nearly murdered on camera for his political beliefs. The media portrayed him as the villain.

The Questions Nobody Asks

Both terrorists came from Afghanistan. One of the terrorist’s parents own a $2.25 million home in an exclusive neighborhood.

How does a family from one of the poorest nations on Earth amass that kind of wealth? Did anyone investigate their finances? Did anyone ensure they weren’t raising radicalized children?

Of course not. We don’t “vet” anyone anymore.

The Muslim population of the United States has doubled in twenty years. Did anyone vote on that? Did anyone conduct a cost-benefit analysis? Has anyone presented a single argument for why importing hundreds of thousands of people from completely incompatible cultures serves American interests?

These are questions we should have asked before naturalizing the parents of terrorists. Instead, we’re learning the hard way that we imported people with no loyalty to this country, no compatibility with civilization, and often, active hostility toward both.

The Death Wish Goes Global

This pathology isn’t limited to New York.

The New York Times published a remarkable piece during peak BLM insanity about a Minneapolis neighborhood that collectively decided not to call police after George Floyd’s death. Progressive white residents believed calling law enforcement would “add to the pain that black residents were feeling.”

Within two months, homeless people invaded the neighborhood. Overdoses in the park. Break-ins. Property destruction. One woman had “visions of people from the tent camp forcing their way into her home” and imagined defending herself with a baseball bat.

Still, they refused to call police.

One exception: Mitchell Erickson, who called 911 after two black teenagers robbed him at gunpoint outside his home. Then he immediately regretted it.

“I regret calling the police,” he texted two days later. “It was my instinct but I wish it hadn’t been. I put those boys in danger of death by calling the cops.”

The boys pointed a gun at his chest. He apologized for calling for help.

Toronto’s Transformation

A correspondent for Reduxx was attacked in broad daylight in Toronto by a homeless schizophrenic man. Police told her he routinely assaults women and would likely be released within 24 hours.

The 12-second video of his arrest captures everything. Police making an arrest they know is pointless. A Somali woman walking past. A car driving by with an Iranian flag.

In just twelve seconds, you can see that Toronto is no longer a Western city. It has become the third world.

How to Destroy a Nation

Want to know how to really destroy Iran? Don’t bomb them. Force them to invoke the Civil Rights Act. Make them open their borders. Make them release criminals in the name of racial equity. Make them do what we’ve done to ourselves.

That’s how you make a nation unrecognizable. And white leftists will cheer every step of the way.

The Real Sleeper Cells

You’re hearing a lot about Iran activating “sleeper cells” in America. Intelligence reports. Encrypted communications. Sophisticated operatives waiting for orders.

That’s not the real problem.

The real problem is we’ve imported massive numbers of radicalized foreigners who hate this country. And they have the full support of self-loathing Americans who wouldn’t seem out of place in “The Camp of the Saints.”

The dystopia isn’t coming. It’s here.

We were never allowed to read about this particular dystopia in school. We were trained to fear our own civilization while ignoring the threat of those who would destroy it from without—aided enthusiastically by those who would destroy it from within.

“The Camp of the Saints” wasn’t just prophetic. It was conservative in its predictions. Reality has exceeded even Raspail’s darkest imagination.

The only question left: How do you debate someone who apologizes to his armed robbers? How do you reason with people who cheer as terrorists try to murder their political opponents? How do you share a country with those who actively work toward its destruction?

We don’t have answers to those questions yet. But we’d better find them soon.

The real dystopia—the one they banned you from reading—is unfolding in real time. And the people from the approved dystopian novels, the ones who were supposed to warn us about tyranny, are the ones ushering it in.
