Clintons Cave to Congressional Pressure, Will Finally Testify on Epstein Ties

After six months of stonewalling, defiance, and legal maneuvering, Bill and Hillary Clinton have surrendered to congressional authority and agreed to sit for videotaped depositions about their relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The capitulation came just hours before the House of Representatives was set to hold them in contempt of Congress.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday that Hillary Clinton will appear for her deposition on February 26, with her husband scheduled for the following day. Both depositions will be transcribed and filmed—ensuring no opportunity for the Clintons to later mischaracterize their testimony.

No One Above the Law

“Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee have been clear: no one is above the law—and that includes the Clintons,” Comer stated with unmistakable clarity.

The message is straightforward. Congressional subpoenas aren’t suggestions. They’re legal commands that apply equally to everyone, regardless of how many years they spent in the White House or how powerful their political connections remain.

A Pattern of Obstruction

The Clintons didn’t arrive at this decision through civic duty or respect for congressional oversight. They fought tooth and nail to avoid accountability, ignoring duly issued subpoenas for half a year.

Only when contempt proceedings became inevitable—with all the legal and political consequences that would follow—did they suddenly discover their willingness to cooperate.

“After delaying and defying duly issued subpoenas for six months, the House Oversight Committee moved swiftly to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings in response to their non-compliance,” Comer explained. “Once it became clear that the House of Representatives would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved.”

What Questions Await

The American people deserve answers about the nature and extent of the Clintons’ relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Flight logs have documented Bill Clinton’s numerous trips aboard Epstein’s private aircraft. Photographs place him in Epstein’s company on multiple occasions. The full scope of these connections remains shrouded in deliberate ambiguity.

“We look forward to questioning the Clintons as part of our investigation into the horrific crimes of Epstein and Maxwell, to deliver transparency and accountability for the American people and for survivors,” Comer declared.

Those survivors—the victims of Epstein’s sex trafficking operation—have waited years for the full truth to emerge. They deserve to know who enabled, facilitated, or turned a blind eye to Epstein’s predatory behavior.

Justice Cannot Be Delayed Forever

The Clintons had until noon on the day of the announcement to agree to the committee’s deposition terms or face renewed contempt proceedings. They chose compliance over consequences.

This represents a significant victory for congressional authority and the principle that powerful political figures cannot simply ignore legal obligations when the questions become uncomfortable.

The depositions will be videotaped—a critical detail that prevents the selective memory and careful parsing of words that have characterized Clinton testimony in the past. The American people will be able to see and hear their answers directly.

Accountability Delayed, Not Denied

For too long, Washington’s elite have operated under different rules than ordinary Americans. Subpoenas get ignored. Investigations get obstructed. Accountability gets endlessly postponed.

The Clintons’ agreement to testify demonstrates that congressional Republicans are serious about restoring equal justice under law. When Congress issues a lawful subpoena, compliance isn’t optional—not for anyone.

The February depositions will provide an opportunity to extract answers that have been deliberately withheld for years. Under oath and on camera, the Clintons will face direct questions about their relationship with one of the most notorious criminals in recent American history.

The survivors of Epstein’s crimes deserve nothing less than complete transparency. The American people deserve to know the full truth about who associated with Jeffrey Epstein, who knew about his activities, and who failed to act.

After six months of resistance, the Clintons will finally be held to the same standard as every other American citizen: answer the subpoena or face the consequences.

Justice may have been delayed, but it will not be denied.
