The Lawbreakers Democrats Chose to Celebrate
Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts brought Marcelo Gomes da Silva, an illegal alien whose student visa expired. Moulton painted a sob story about a broken immigration system.
The Department of Homeland Security cut through the narrative with facts: “Marcelo Gomes da Silva is still an illegal alien and subject to removal proceedings.”
No ambiguity. No excuses. Just the law.
DACA Doesn’t Mean Above the Law
Sen. John Hickenlooper of Colorado invited Caroline Dias Gonçalves, claiming she was wrongfully detained despite DACA protection. The reality? Her visa expired over a decade ago.
DHS made clear that President Trump and Secretary Noem are “committed to restoring integrity to the visa program and ensuring it is not abused to allow aliens a permanent one-way ticket to remain in the U.S.”
DACA was never meant to be permanent amnesty. It certainly wasn’t designed to shield visa overstayers from consequences.
Democrats Choose Illegal Aliens Over American Safety
“Today, some Democrats in Congress are planning to bring illegal aliens as guests to the State of the Union,” Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis stated. “Once again, they are putting illegal aliens above the safety of American citizens.”
The contrast couldn’t be starker.
While Democrats championed immigration violators in the Capitol, ICE officers spent Monday removing dangerous criminals from American communities.
The Predators ICE Arrested While Democrats Grandstanded
The same day Democrats finalized their guest lists, ICE made America safer.
Officers arrested Cuban national Jorge Luis Gómez-Gallardo, convicted of “carnal knowledge of a child 13-14 years old without force” in Virginia. They apprehended Guyanese national Parsam Chettana, a convicted rapist, in Schenectady, New York.
Mexican national Agustine Hernandez-Almaraz, convicted of criminal sexual assault, was taken into custody. So was Omar Gómez-Hinojosa of Mexico, another convicted assailant. El Salvadoran national Isidro Arcenio Alvarado faced arrest for naturalization fraud in North Carolina.
“Yesterday alone, our officers arrested pedophiles, rapists, and violent criminals from our communities,” Bis emphasized. “President Trump and Secretary Noem have made it abundantly clear: if you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you, we will arrest you, and you will NEVER return.”
Honoring Real Victims: Angel Families
Monday marked National Angel Family Day, proclaimed by President Trump to “remember and honor the thousands of American lives stolen from us by criminal illegal aliens and the deadly drugs they bring across our borders.”
These are the families Democrats ignore while elevating illegal aliens to honored guest status.
These are the Americans whose loved ones paid the ultimate price for lax enforcement and sanctuary policies.
The Audacity of Accused Lawbreakers
Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey delivered a “prebuttal” attacking Trump’s immigration enforcement. McIver faces federal felony charges for allegedly interfering with authorities during a clash outside an ICE detention facility in Newark last May.
She lectured about democracy and sacrifice while facing charges for obstructing officers doing their jobs.
“Donald Trump doesn’t care about America; he cares only about himself, his money, his power,” McIver claimed.
The projection is stunning from someone accused of interfering with federal law enforcement to protect illegal aliens from deportation.
The Choice Americans Face
Democrats made their position crystal clear. They will use America’s most prestigious political stage to celebrate immigration lawbreakers while ICE removes child predators and rapists from our communities.
They will grandstand about broken systems while opposing every measure to secure the border and enforce existing law.
They will prioritize illegal aliens over Angel Families, over American workers, over public safety.
President Trump’s message remains consistent: American sovereignty matters. American citizens come first. Immigration law will be enforced.
The funding lapse at the Department of Homeland Security demonstrates Democrats’ willingness to handicap immigration enforcement during a border crisis.
Their State of the Union guest list proves they’ve chosen their side.
