President Donald J. Trump delivered a seismic warning: New York City faces utter collapse if voters hand the reins to avowed socialist Zohran Mamdani. He insists the only viable safeguard is a vote for former Governor Andrew Cuomo—no exceptions.

Trump’s declaration landed like a thunderbolt on Truth Social. He vowed to withhold every dollar of federal aid beyond the bare legal minimum if Mamdani wins. “This city cannot survive communist rule,” he wrote. “I’ll protect taxpayers from funding a socialist experiment destined to fail.”

Cuomo’s record of restoring budgets, cutting crime and delivering real results stands in stark contrast to Mamdani’s radical agenda. Mamdani proposes blanket rent freezes, mass public takeovers and a defund-the-police crusade. Trump labels these policies “economic suicide” that would drive investment away and sow chaos on the streets.

“Andrew Cuomo has a track record of winning,” Trump declared. “Mamdani’s only record is a long string of empty promises. He ranked dead last in Albany. Now he wants to wreck this city.”

Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa gets mentioned only to be dismissed. Trump warns that splitting the anti-socialist vote hands victory to Mamdani on a silver platter. “A vote for Sliwa is effectively a vote for communism,” he stated flatly. “New Yorkers have no luxury of indecision.”

Poll averages show Mamdani at 46.1 percent, Cuomo trailing at 31.8 percent, Sliwa stuck at 16.3 percent. With nearly half the electorate leaning socialist, Trump’s challenge is clear: mobilize conservative, moderate and disillusioned Democrats around Cuomo’s proven competence.

The stakes could not be higher. Trump frames his funding threat as a patriotic duty to safeguard American taxpayers. “I refuse to bankroll a disaster,” he said. “New York City’s future hangs in the balance. Elect Cuomo or prepare for economic and social ruin under communism.”

Time is running out. Voters must decide whether to embrace a tested leader who delivers or plunge America’s greatest city into experiment-tested failure. The choice is stark—and New Yorkers will bear the consequences.
