Washington Post Crosses a Line: Harassment of Intelligence Officers Exposed

The integrity of our national security is under siege, and the Washington Post is at the forefront of this disconcerting assault. Tulsi Gabbard, our steadfast Director of National Intelligence, has revealed shocking allegations of harassment against her staff by reporter Ellen Nakashima. This is not just a lapse in journalistic standards; it’s a blatant violation of ethics.

Gabbard took to social media to expose Nakashima’s reckless tactics. Instead of engaging with the press office, she uses burner phones to contact high-ranking intelligence officers. She refuses to identify herself and lies about her affiliation with the Washington Post, all in pursuit of sensitive information. This is an outrageous overreach.

Gabbard stated, “Apparently, publishing leaked classified material wasn’t enough for the Washington Post. Now they’ve decided to go after the intelligence professionals charged with protecting it.” Her words are a clarion call; this outrageous behavior from the media establishment showcases their desperation to undermine a successful agenda for political gain. The Washington Post should be held accountable for this blatant dereliction of duty.

Let’s not forget the history here. In December 2020, the Post’s reporters, including Nakashima, pushed the false narrative that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian disinformation campaign. Their credibility has been on shaky ground for far too long.

In response to Gabbard’s accusations, the Washington Post’s Executive Editor, Matt Murray, attempted to defend Nakashima, claiming that her outreach was “basic journalism.” This is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Gabbard’s affront on this behavior is not a misunderstanding; it’s a necessary reckoning with an increasingly biased media.

Gabbard was confirmed as DNI in February under President Trump, a role through which she vowed to prioritize the safety and security of the American people. As a former Congresswoman, she now stands resolutely with the Republican Party, advocating for transparency and integrity in our intelligence community.

The actions of the Washington Post are a wake-up call. We cannot allow our national security to be compromised by disgraceful media tactics. It is time to demand accountability and restore respect for our intelligence professionals.
