Remarkably, not a single interviewee expressed pride in being American. Instead, everyone appeared to be reciting lines from a script—very genuine, right? Clearly, these highly educated individuals struggle to articulate their thoughts without a cue card.
The phrase “disgusted” and “embarrassed” dominated these interviews, alongside pointed criticisms of the Trump administration, as reported by the Boston Globe’s Opinion section. These are the voices they chose to amplify on our nation’s birthday.
