Wisconsin Democrat gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong fled a Culver’s restaurant in 2019 after admitting she nearly suffered an “anxiety attack” because there were—in her own words—”too many old white people” present.

“I ate two bites of my kid’s cheeseburger at a Culver’s in black river falls and told him they ran out of ice cream. Mostly just wanted to leave bc I was on the verge of a anxiety attack,” Hong wrote, lying to her own child to justify her racial discomfort.

Her reasoning? The restaurant had “to many old white people who didn’t think we spoke english.”

Hong offered zero evidence or elaboration about anyone questioning her language abilities. This appears to be pure projection—attributing imagined prejudice to innocent diners while she herself fled based solely on their race and age.

When confronted with her racism, Hong deployed the oldest trick in the progressive playbook: deflection through humor.

She resurfaced a 2020 post critiquing Culver’s cheese curds, pretending the controversy centered on fast food opinions rather than racial prejudice.

“I see that folks are digging up old tweets in an attempt to shift the narrative in this race,” Hong posted, adding culinary commentary about cheese curds and fries while studiously avoiding her discriminatory confession.

This is textbook leftist damage control—make a joke, gaslight the public, and hope voters forget the original offense.

A Pattern of Extremism

Hong’s Culver’s confession isn’t an isolated incident. It’s part of a disturbing pattern.

In 2021, Hong declared that “Police exist to uphold white supremacy” and demanded authorities “Defund then abolish. Reform can’t be an option.”

When pressed about these radical statements during a recent Fox News interview, Hong suddenly discovered the concept of evolution. “The governor cannot defund the police, and I won’t defund the police,” she claimed, conveniently moderating her positions now that she needs votes from the very people she’s spent years demonizing.

The Real Anxiety Attack Wisconsin Should Have

Wisconsin voters should experience genuine anxiety—not about cheese curds or elderly restaurant patrons, but about the prospect of electing a governor who judges people by immutable characteristics rather than content of character.

Hong’s admission reveals what conservatives have long understood: the left’s obsession with identity politics breeds the very prejudice they claim to oppose.
